GAUL — Global Unified Language

We live in a world where more than 7,000 languages divide people. According to UNESCO, there are officially 6,809 languages in the world — and this is just the tip of the iceberg: we cannot imagine how many more have been lost over the centuries. Most of these languages are in a vulnerable position: about 90% of them are spoken by less than 100,000 people. There are 357 languages spoken by fewer than 50 people, and only one native speaker remains in one of the 46 endangered languages.

We cannot allow whole parts of cultural memory to die — along with language, stories, songs, knowledge about the world and unique ways of thinking disappear. Our goal is to preserve this legacy: document languages, support communities, and integrate rare languages into educational and digital platforms. To save a language means to preserve an entire human history, but imagine that all 8 billion people can understand each other — without translators, without barriers, without misunderstandings.

Imagine if every nation had its own numbers. Yes, every nation has its own way of writing numbers. Can you imagine how much this would slow down science and human development? Once upon a time it was like this: different nations really had their own systems for writing numbers. But look around — today the numbers are common, understandable to the whole world. And this is what has allowed science, trade and technology to develop rapidly.

So why not do the same with the language? One common language will not destroy culture — on the contrary, it will help to preserve it. After all, instead of learning several languages at the top, students will be able to study one deeply, while immersing themselves in the cultures of the peoples from whose languages it was created.

In schools, children will not just learn words — they will learn from which country each expression, grammatical form or semantic connotation came from. During the 12 years of study, they will get to know at least 12 cultures, and the GAUL language will become not just a means of communication, but a living symbol of unity and respect for diversity.
